Born in 1992 in Bidasar, Rajasthan, Shiv Kumar Soni is a figurative artist who studied visual art at Rajasthan School of Art in Jaipur. Childhood and imagination are central to his paintings, which capture the energy, mischief and dreams of young children. His figures appear in imaginative situations, from playful adventures to scenes that express the inner worlds of children. Bright colours and expressive compositions give the works their sense of movement and spontaneity, while the subject matter balances innocence with a mischievous sense of humour.
