Louise Hill is a British artist and illustrator whose intricate prints capture the colours, architecture and cultural details of places she has called home. During her years in Singapore, she developed richly layered compositions inspired by Asian cities, incorporating shophouses, vintage motifs, decorative patterns and architectural details. Works such as Singapore Shophouses in Heritage Brights and Chinese Lattice in Monochrome show how she uses colour, texture and carefully arranged imagery to create a strong sense of place. Her practice also includes watercolour painting and collage, shaped by her experiences living in Africa and, more recently, on Sark in the Channel Islands.
